Hôpitel has created and installed in several of the hospitals that it services the MeditelTM Multi-Media Manager System “MMM System.” This system is designed to work throughout a pre-existing coaxial distribution network within a hospital. The MMM system does not require any additional parallel network to function and is comprised of a customized intelligent software which provides automated processes for one of the most critical, and largely overlooked components of our healthcare system today; Patient Education.

Those hospitals which have implemented the MeditelTM MMM solution have the capabilities of utilizing this Multimedia computerized system to broadcast throughout their institutions any Media Player, MPEG, PowerPoint or similar type media presentation and can be programmed to be recurrent, scheduled by week or on a specific day. The educational programming and or bulletin information services can be broadcasted on one or several channels of the coaxial cable distribution network.

The content distributed through the MeditelTM MMM System is primarily medical and educational information for patient awareness and training on disease, self care and rehabilitation. Each hospital can order its own content and can ensure that it is always screened and fully endorsed by its own medical staff prior to any broadcast. This audio visual aid is another Hôpitel method of applying technology within the hospital environment with critical applications such as; communications in education and training in an extremely cost effective manner. These self awareness and training applications significantly assist patients in becoming more independent and self reliant, all of which provides direct results in reducing hospital costs and the burden on nursing human resources to fulfill these ever increasing, and important hospital and patient processes.
