The Hôpitel Patient Rental Program allows hospitals to offer their patients access to an up-to-date patient television or system without the need to invest capital, provide operational management or be involved in the day to day running of the services. The Patient Rental Program is of no cost to the hospital where it applies.
Risk Of Ownership Resides With Hôpitel
Hôpitel carries the full commercial risks involved in providing the rental and distribution services within the hospital, having at all times public liability insurance and equipment insurance to ensure continuity of service. Hôpitel's responsibilities stem from design, installation, service, staffing to daily operations.

The key benefits of using a Hôpitel Patient Rental Program is that the provision of the service is self-funding, the rental fees collected from patients renting the system cover all installation, service and operating costs and there is no substantial involvement by the hospital or its staff. This scenario allows the hospital to continue to focus on its core business, and allow Hôpitel to provide the entertainment and telephone services. Over and above, the hospital will earn a percentage commission of all revenues collected and Hôpitel will pay the hospital these commissions accordingly where it applies for the exclusive right to offer the rental services in the hospital.

Available self-rent systems ensure 24 hour accessibility coupled with a wide range of entertainment services which can be made available to patients including: Movies, Music and Internet. A wide range of entertainment choices keeps patients occupied, reduces the demands on nursing staff and leads to quicker recovery times.
Access To Television Rental Services
Hôpitel has developed, if the hospital so chooses, an operating system to ensure patients have access to the television services on an immediate basis . We ensure that all televisions at empty beds are left ready for use. This operational method combined with our television system's patient "self-rent" feature ensures that patients have immediate access to our rental service. Our representatives visit all bed locations daily to identify patient rental needs, arrange rental payment and rental collections and provide instruction in the use of the equipment. Rental fees are only payable from the time the patient confirms their intention to use the service.
Affordable Patient Rental Rates
Hôpitel has structured its rental service rates to ensure that they are affordable to all patients. A descending discount scale is used to provide lower rental rates the longer the patient uses the service. Hôpitel rental fees offer excellent value for the patients, families and or care givers using the services.
